WHO CAN JOIN HOPE?

EVERYONE and ANYONE! (Literally)

With 16 different committees underneath the HOPE this year, each committee not only provides not unique opportunities, but unique experiences for students to get involved in their community and help make an impact! You WILL find something that you are passionate about through these committees, so don't be afraid to experiment and try new things! You NEVER know what committee you will fall in love with ; )

Stay updated and learn more about US and OUR COMMITTEES by joining the HOPE Facebook Group and all of the committee Facebook Groups!

WHEN DOES HOPE MEET?

We hold WEEKLY GAs on Mondays at 8pm in Mac! Try to attend as many GAs as possible, as GAs are where we'll be providing volunteer opportunities, as well as giving out important information regarding the state of the club and upcoming events. We will also frequently play fun games and activities (and provide snacks ; ) ) that all help to promote a good cause!!

Besides our weekly GAs, our committees also try and meet AT LEAST once or twice a week. More times a committee meets = more volunteering opportunities = more helping out the community = MORE VOLUNTEER HOURS FOR YOU!!

WHAT IS HOPE AUCTION?

HOPE Auction is our annual Spring event, where we unite the TAMS Community in raising money for a good cause with everyone's amazing talents! We raised over 8,000 dollars at HOPE Auction 2022 for the Sunshine Kids, an organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer. HOPE Auction has also been voted the #1 Social Event of the year for 8 years in a row, so you don't want to miss out! Want to watch HOPE Auction 2019? Click here!

ARE THERE LEADERSHIP POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR JUNIORS?

YES! This year, you can apply to become a Blood Drive Coordinator, where you'll work directly WITH US (the execs!)to help plan, organize, and coordinate one of HOPE's Four Carter Blood Drives that we host in McConnell.

Some committees also have their own leadership positions for juniors so be sure to join all of their Facebook Groups so you're aware! Make sure to show us your PASSION throughout the year by participating in HOPE and just volunteering in general, especially if you're interested in becoming a committee head or a future HOPE executive ; )!

HOW MANY COMMITTEES CAN I VOLUNTEER FOR?

As many as you can fit in your own personal schedule while also balancing classes and any other extracurriculars!

As a precaution, some of our committees don't accept volunteers in the middle of the semester, so make sure to be on the look out for any orientations or applications  that would signal that only a limited amount of volunteer spots will be available.

ARE HOURS REQUIRED?

Hours are NOT essential to stay at TAMS, however, a certain number of hours ARE required for Honor Roll, Red Cord, and Gold Cord!
