WHAT IS HOOFBEATS?
TAMS Hoofbeats aims to help engage students in the amazing healing process of equine therapy. We work with New Hope organization in Argyle, Texas where you will be able to aid in therapeutic horseback riding for young students with a variety of disabilities. With Hoofbeats, you will learn and have the opportunity to take care of both horses and riders while bringing a little more joy to the world!

LEAH CAIRNS
Hi Everyone! My name is Leah, and I’m excited to be your 2020-2021 Hoofbeats committee head! You can catch me hanging out with friends and my roommate/co-committee head Avery around campus. I also frequently go to the gym (always welcome to join me), and I will also probably be doing something related to horses (I’m a competitive Equestrian) and rocketry (I am also an exec for Eureka! and captain of the rocketry team). Definitely reach out on messenger if you have any questions about Hoofbeats!
AVERY WALKER
Hello everyone! My name is Avery Walker, and I will be one of your Hoofbeats Committee Heads for 2020-2021! Besides loving horses (as I’m sure y’all already guessed I do), I love to read, play piano, and hang out with my friends in Mac. I’m also an executive of Eureka! (the physics club at TAMS), so feel free to contact me if you’re interested in participating in either organization, if you need a book recommendation, or if you just wanna talk about anything.
