WHAT IS GIFT OF WORDS?

Welcome to Gift of Words (GOW), a student-led organization committed to closing the education gap exacerbated by the pandemic. Our organization was established in July 2020, and since then, we have awarded over 1200 service hours globally. We are pleased to offer TAMS students the opportunity to participate in two significant volunteering initiatives: the Letter-Writing and Mentoring Programs. Our Letter-Writing Program aims to alleviate the loneliness experienced by healthcare workers and senior citizens by providing them with heartfelt letters filled with thoughtful words. Our Mentoring Program brings together K-9 students and high school mentors for virtual educational tutoring and social activities such as arts and crafts. If you have any questions about our programs or would like to get involved, please email us at hopegiftofwords@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you and working together to make a difference in the world.

Sonia Sheth

Hi everyone! My name is Sonia Sheth and I am excited to be one of your 2023-2024 Gift of Words committee heads. I am on the traditional science track, and this year I will be your TAS tutoring coordinator, Driving Tomorrow director of operations, and TNS committee head. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends and singing in choir. I also spend a concerning amount of time tripping over air and stressing about math. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me either on messenger or in person!out with friends, reading crime fiction novels, and traveling. Other than GOW,  I will be the StuCo events coordinator and honors chem tutor. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!
